Would you like to understand more about your own and other cultures? Would you like to look at how you might feel more confident and relaxed when interacting with people from another culture? Would you like to be more skillful in working with people from other cultures? Would you like to explore how you might contribute to a more integrated society?
The Purpose
The purpose of this 2 day course is four-fold. It offers a number of opportunities:
• An opportunity to explore and reflect on how you have been shaped by your own culture. • An opportunity to learn about, become familiar with, and explore some of the thinking and principles behind an approach to intercultural work. • An opportunity to experience exercises and processes you might use with others. • An opportunity to identify and prepare for ways in which you might use these resources in your context.
The Process
The two days will take the form of a highly participative, experiential, hands-on workshop with handouts and suggestions about resource material for developing ideas and options people may wish to pursue.
